History of Pakistan (1857-1905)(
From 1857 to 1947, this subcontinent created a history that is unmatched anywhere else in the world.
In “An Introduction to the World of Television” you will learn all about it. Historiography of Pakistan”That’s how Muslims changed the world in just 90 years. Who were the leaders of Muslims who played their nuclear role in this enduring story? You will also learn the important stories that are often forgotten.
Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s efforts to wake Muslims up, creation of Muslim League, and ascension/declination of Hindu-Muslim Unity. Iqbal’s rare and precious dream. Muhammad Ali’s journey, Muhammad Ali’s from Jinnah to Quaid-e-Azam. Touching scenes in Lahore. The dawn of the day of Independence.
The question is that when and where did the story of Pakistan started and which important characters have been part of this story? My belief is that Pakistan’s story began in 1857.
Bahadur Shah Zafar and Sir Syed Ahmed Khan were the two most important characters in this period of this story. Before I move on, let me tell you about something tragic that is part of this story. The last Mughal Emperor. When he was detained by the East India Company, he was taken to the breakfast table the following day.
That man was once an emperor just a few nights ago. Bahadur Shah Zafar was horrified to see a tray being brought before him. Many other similar screams could be heard on every street in India. What were the contents of that tray? And why did Muslims from Sub-continent eat it every time they cooked food? What was the purpose of that flour? All this information will be revealed at the end.
The British government took control of India’s public affairs after 1857. First, the British army rebelled against them. All rebel-armed men had been killed. They were hanged, and anyone who tried to flee was shot immediately without any court-martial. They fell to the ground and were not able to climb trees or ropes when someone told them that this person or that individual was involved.
The paintings from that period show that there were no places left where dead bodies weren’t found. This barbaric protest was intended to instill fear in the British government and make it impossible for people to speak against the government again. We now know the extent of the British Raj’s brutality. This is why Sir Syed Ahmed Khan felt compelled to do something for his Muslim friends.
Without Sir Syed Ahmed Khan’s tireless efforts, there wouldn’t be Pakistan today. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan was a beacon of light for Muslims during the same time period. He demanded from the British that Muslims be given jobs in government and representation. They will rebel again if they don’t.
They won’t be loyal to your cause. Do justice and give them your rights. There is no notion that Muslims are being unfairly treated economically and politically. They are not treated as equals in society. To put it another way, there was a need to have a thought and vision. He was the one who gave this thought.
Sir Syed Ahmed Khan published a magazine called”Asbab-e-Baghawat-e-Hind”. He believed that Muslims were being excluded completely from the power structure. He said that a Muslim who is not part of the power structure will be excluded. Hindu is moving ahead.
He said it was impossible without education. He started a campaign that became the foundation of the Muhammadan Educational Conference. He made it clear that Muslims must establish educational institutions in India and that they should be able to receive an education.
I was curious about the 1885 founding of the All India Congress. But then, why did Sir Syed ban Muslims from taking part in politics? Now I see why Sir Syed didn’t want Muslims to get involved in politics. Because he wanted them all to know the rules of the game.
The Congress was founded by O.H Hume, a British citizen. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan advised Muslims not to join the party when he founded it. The Indian National Congress does not seek to solve all problems in the Sub-continent. Sir Syed Ahmed Khan then told Muslims to focus on education and not politics.
The Muslim Scientific Society was founded by him. His goal was to convert western scientific research into Urdu. Although the party was founded in 1906, it took a long road to get there. The movement’s basic purpose was to help Muslims understand how they can restore their identity, end their subjugation and realize this and get out of self-isolation. Partition of Bengal was an important factor in Muslims understanding that Congress is not sincere for Muslims of India.
